Amy Poehler and Will Arnett Getting a Divorce

America's funniest couple Amy Poehler and Will Arnett are getting divorced. According to US Weekly, the “Parks and Recreation” actor Amy Poehler and her husband, actor Will Arnett famous for his role in “Arrested Development” have decided to end their nine years marriage. Amy and Will were one of the Hollywood's most happy and strong couple. Their representative said that the divorce is very amicable.  

The comedic couple got married on August 29, 2003, and have two sons together named Archie (3) and Abel (2). Amy Poehler and Will Arnett appeared separately in many hit television series and worked together in many film appearances such as "Horton Hears a Who!," "Spring Breakdown," "Blades of Glory,” "Monsters vs. Aliens " and "On Broadway,"

Hopefully, the couple will continue to work together and have a great on-screen relationship as well as off-screen. People have got so used to see the couple pop up in each other's work, whether it is Poehler as wife of G.O.B. On “Arrested Development” or Arnett as Chris in “ Parks and Recreation” that it is very difficult to hear that she have decided to get separated.

With the fourth season of “Arrested Development” stating soon, fans are hoping that Poehler will replay her role of his unwanted wife. The on-screen couple divorced in season 2 but there are chances of her return.

Arnett and Poehler are both staples of the NBC comedy block. Arnett stars opposite Christina Applegate in “Up All Night” where as Poehler acts as “Leslie Knope” in “Parks and Recreation.” the highly talented couple are currently up for the Emmys, with Arnett nominated for Outstanding Guest Actor in the comedy series “30 Rock” and Poehler for Outstanding Lead Actress in a comedy series and Outstanding writer for a comedy series in “Parks and Recreation.”

The love story of Arnett and Poehler is no less than a magical story. It was love at first sight for Arnett. 

 

"The first time I saw her onstage, I said, 'I'm gonna marry that girl,' " he told People in 2009.

This is the second marriage for Arnett as he was previously married to Penelope Ann Miller for a year in 1994. However, this is the first marriage of Poehler.
