America is one of the biggest home for single parents. The main reason behind such a huge number is the divorce rate. Everyday thousands of divorce papers are filed in the court of law to seek divorce. The tide of modernization has taken over the whole world and human beings in the mad rush of modernization are taking apart their personal life to stay on top of it. There is no shortage of couples living in America that do not have time for each other and their marriages are ending up in divorce.

Divorce Statistics in America

According to statistics, every one couple in two are divorced in America. This whole cycle of divorce is endless as the divorced exposed children are also more prone toward divorce in their adult life. Another reason behind such high divorce rate is the divorced couples getting remarried and getting divorced again. This shoots up divorce rate in America.

If you go by divorce statistics, the figures are quite shocking. According to the statistics women under the age of 20 have the divorce rate of 27% where as when it comes to men it is just 11%. The same figure goes up when men reach the thresh hold of 25 and the divorce rate is around 39%. same is the case with women at the age of 25. they stand at a divorce rate of 37%. How ever if you read the divorce statistics carefully you will find that there is a steep decline in the divorce rate with the increasing age. Women in the age group of 25 to 29 have very low divorce rate of just 17% but its on the higher side when it comes to men and it goes till 23%. The lowest divorce rate was discovered in the age of 35 to 39 when the divorce rate for men is just 6 % and in women its just 5%.
